About
I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I attended an all-girls’ high school.
I’m the author of the novel Whores on the Hill. My short stories have appeared in places like Glimmer Train, Jane, Mid-American Review and Meridian.
I also edited the anthology Altared: Bridezillas, Bewilderment, Big Love, Breakups, and What Women Really Think About Contemporary Weddings.
I’ve been awarded a Theresa Pollak Award for Excellence in the Arts from Richmond Magazine. I’ve taught creative writing at Virginia Commonwealth University, as well as a variety of writing classes at the University of Richmond, the Hand Workshop and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Currently, I’m an editor and writer for Richmond.com where I cover Arts, Entertainment and Events.
I’m working on several new projects and I can’t wait to tell you all about them.
I live with my husband and baby boy in a historic house in Church Hill with a red door.
