I’ve been writing some stories for work lately that I’ve really enjoyed.
I wrote about a garden an architect in building to honor the memory of an 18-year-old girl who was killed there. And it took my breath away. Because I had followed all the stories of the girl’s murder. My friend lived across the street. And it was such a terrible thing, but he’s making something beautiful out of it.
You can read about it here.
And I wrote about the rooftop bar trend in Richmond. I got to go to fancy bars on a Monday night and order $12 drinks while my husband took my kids to swim team and I was so blissed out, it was ridiculous. To get a moment to myself.
You can read that one here.
And now we’re off to Florida, to see my mother-in-law and go to the beach, even though I’m still covered in poison ivy and recently acquired a sun rash on top of the poison ivy and I have an ice pack shoved under my armpit as I write this. So…we’ll see. If anything interesting happens, I’ll let you know.
