“We call it ‘The Resort,’ ” Christina Hollingsworth said, describing her home with a laugh. “Or ‘The Homestead.’ We designed it to be a resort, where you come home and feel like you’re on vacation.”
It wasn’t always like this.
The Hollingsworths scrimped and saved to make their dream a reality in the Moseley area of Powhatan County. The family lived in Chesterfield County’s Brandermill community for 13 years, working and planning for the house of their dreams.
“I’d lie awake at night, thinking about the placement of the Tupperware drawer,” Christina said.
What they wanted was a “forever” home where their family of four would feel like they were on vacation every day.
